Sirdaryo IT Sector, one of the prominent organizations operating in the field of information and communication technologies in the Asia and Oceania region of Sirdaryo region, has officially become a member of ASOCIO (Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization).
This event took place during the ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit international forum held in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia.
The visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Andijan region was marked by major initiatives aimed at fundamentally transforming the economic, social, and infrastructural situation in the region. As part of the reforms being carried out in the field, priority tasks have been implemented, including the widespread introduction of innovations, expansion of local production, ensuring employment for the population, and creating high added value.
During the second day of ICT WEEK, the 'Future Intelligence Forum 2026' event took place, gathering representatives from government bodies, leaders of leading international and local companies, experts, and key participants in the digital economy.
The main focus of the forum was on the development of artificial intelligence, the practical implementation of digital technologies, as well as the presentation of modern solutions in this area.
The expansion of economic partnership between the EAEU and ASEAN was discussed in Manila. Consultations are planned for 2027 on areas such as digitalization, e-commerce, energy, and agriculture.
At the event, Daniyar Imanaliev, Minister of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EAEU, delivered a report on the current state and prospects of interaction between the two blocs. According to him, cooperation between the EAEU and ASEAN is developing practically, covering both official structures and business circles.
As part of the cooperation program for the period 2026–2030, joint events are being held on customs regulation, competition, consumer protection, intellectual property, technical regulation, as well as transport and logistics issues.
Furthermore, discussions on digitalization, e-commerce, energy, and agriculture were scheduled for 2027. Participants emphasized the important role of business in developing trade and economic ties between EAEU and ASEAN states. A memorandum on economic cooperation between the EAEU and ASEAN was signed in 2018.
Previously in Manila, Imanaliev met with ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn. The parties discussed areas such as energy, food security, digitalization, and transport and logistics. The issue of aligning the development goals of the EAEU and ASEAN until 2045 was also considered.
Imanaliev invited ASEAN representatives to the Eurasian Economic Forum, which will take place in Bishkek in May 2027, and announced the readiness to hold 'EAEU-ASEAN Days' at the EAEU headquarters.
