Residents of Dubai will soon have a new destination for essential shopping or weekend planning. Dubai Retail has announced the opening of Skylight Mall—a new superregional shopping center slated for 2027 and located on Al Hail Street.
The mall will cover 1.3 million square feet of total leasable area (GLA) and will house over 360 stores. This will be the latest addition to Dubai Retail's growing portfolio, which includes 58 malls and leisure facilities across the emirate.
Skylight Mall will combine a wide range of retail goods with diverse dining, entertainment, and daily service options. Its location along Al Hail Street ensures convenient access for residents in areas such as Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT), Jumeirah Islands, The Springs, and neighboring communities, while also attracting visitors from across the city.
The mall is designed with modern architecture, offering spacious interiors and exquisite architectural details. Through smooth, interconnected spaces, it merges shopping, dining, entertainment, and social activities, providing visitors with a seamless and engaging experience.
Other properties by Dubai Retail include malls such as Palm Jumeirah Mall, Nad Al Sheba Mall, The Outlet Village, Ibn Battuta Mall, and Dragon Mart, as well as leisure venues like Bluewaters, JBR, and Palm West Beach.
The United Arab Emirates is home to some of the world's most popular shopping centers, and the local 'retail economy' is vital for its residents. More malls, new dining establishments, and numerous new entertainment venues are planned for the country.

Other major projects are also planned. Dubai Square Mall, set to open in 2028, is projected to be three times the size of Downtown Dubai and cost a massive 180 billion dirhams, making it the second-largest shopping and entertainment center in the region.
