Construction of new main gas pipelines has begun in Uzbekistan with the aim of increasing the capacity of the gas transportation system. Five new gas fields were opened at the beginning of the year.
During the presentation, special attention was paid to projects aimed at increasing the capacity of the gas transmission network. These measures include the construction of new main gas pipelines and the modernization of compressor stations.
The implementation of these projects, as well as the launch of modern electric motors at some stations, will increase the reliability of gas supply and save up to 125 million cubic meters of gas annually. Additionally, proposals for financing these works were discussed.
Geological exploration work is being expanded to increase gas reserves. It is planned to increase the volume of 3D seismic exploration work fivefold this year compared to last year.
At the beginning of the year, 80 wells were drilled to depths of up to 6000 meters and more in various regions, and another 40 such wells are planned to be drilled in the fourth quarter.
Plans were presented to study promising areas, especially deep strata in Ust-Urta, develop new fields, and improve the efficiency of existing wells.
Mirziyoyev gave instructions to responsible persons regarding increasing the effectiveness of geological exploration and drilling work, implementing major projects based on careful calculation and clear sources of financing, and paying special attention to improving the efficiency of network enterprises' activities.
