11th generation Kindle has a 42% discount for Amazon Prime subscribers

The 11th generation Kindle is being offered for R$ 519, with the possibility of installment payments up to 10 times without interest, in an exclusive promotion aimed at Amazon Prime members. This digital book reader, which features an E Ink screen and 16 GB of storage, has had its base price of R$ 899 significantly reduced for interested buyers.

This model features a 6-inch E Ink anti-glare screen and illumination provided by 4 LED points. Although it still has a slight ridge between the body and the panel, a characteristic that will be eliminated in the next version, it ensures a comfortable reading experience in various moments and locations. The device also offers features such as adjustable front light and night mode option.

With 16 GB of internal memory, the reader allows users to build a vast collection of materials, including digital books, magazines, and comics. Users can access the online catalog or purchase publications directly on the device using the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi connections.

According to the best Kindles of 2026 list, this model's battery life reaches up to six weeks on a single charge, allowing for long periods of reading without battery worries. Amazon recommends this reader for those seeking a peaceful reading experience, free from interruptions caused by notifications, making it suitable for both leisure and study purposes, as it supports formats such as PDF and DOCX.

The device is lightweight, weighing only 158 grams, and compact, with a thickness of 8 mm, facilitating transport in bags and backpacks. However, it is important to note that, unlike the Paperwhite model, it does not have water resistance and must be kept away from pools and bathtubs.

In terms of sustainability, the 11th generation Kindle is built with 75% recycled plastic; the next generation, on the other hand, will have an aluminum rear finish. Additionally, the product is delivered in packaging made of wood fiber and other recycled materials.

First Generation Kindle Colorsoft on Sale with 25% Discount on Amazon

The first-generation Kindle Colorsoft is on sale on Amazon with a 25% discount. This device, which was launched in 2024 for the price of R$ 1,499, can now be purchased for R$ 1,119, allowing installment payments of up to 10 interest-free installments.

This e-book reader is notable for being the first manufactured by the retailer itself with a color screen, marking an important point in the market. It features a 7-inch e-ink screen and, according to the manufacturer, can display up to 4 thousand colors.

In addition to offering a distinct experience, especially useful for those who read comics or anatomy books, the device allows for annotations using yellow, pink, blue, and orange colors. The panel has a resolution of 300 pixels per inch (PPI) for monochrome images, although this density drops to 150 PPI when there are colored elements. The configuration that ensures sharpness is identical to that used in the product's latest version.

The Kindle Colorsoft incorporates 25 integrated LEDs and adjustable light temperature functionality, a feature not present in the Basic Kindle. This adjustment allows the user to modify the brightness level according to their needs and preferences, and it also includes a night mode to ensure comfort during nighttime reading.

Regarding battery life, Amazon reports that the battery can last up to eight weeks on a full charge, a period comparable to that promised for its successor. The recharging process is done via a USB-C cable included with the product.

Although the finish is plastic, which may make it susceptible to damage from sharp drops, it has an IPX8 certification. This certification guarantees resistance to immersion in fresh water at a depth of 2 meters for a period of 60 minutes. The device also offers 16 GB of storage and supports various file formats, including PDF, DOCX, and JPEG.

Interested parties can purchase the Kindle Colorsoft (1st generation) on Amazon for R$ 1,119, with the option of paying in up to 10 interest-free installments.

Amazon launches new family of Kindle readers in Brazil with renewed design and new prices

Amazon has introduced its new line of Kindle readers to the Brazilian market, featuring a redesign across several models. The entry-level Kindle, while retaining its 6-inch screen, receives a refreshed appearance and, for the first time, aluminum finish options, along with a promise of 30% superior performance compared to the previous model. The starting prices for these devices begin at R$ 899.

The basic Kindle with an aluminum finish is available in 32 GB capacity and in green and blue shades. Concurrently, the Paperwhite has been updated to feature a slimmer and lighter body, and the Signature Edition has also started incorporating aluminum into its structure. All models are available for purchase on the Amazon website starting this Thursday, October 1st.

The official announcement confirmed much of the information that had previously been disclosed through leaks. The new basic Kindle has 16 GB of storage and an estimated battery life of up to six weeks on a single charge. A notable change lies in the front design: the screen now aligns perfectly with the bezel, creating a visually continuous surface. This device will be marketed in purple and graphite colors, with a starting price of R$ 899.

Additionally, Amazon will exclusively offer the entry-level Kindle with a rear aluminum finish. This version preserves the compact format and 6-inch screen but upgrades the storage to 32 GB, selling for R$ 999. It will be available in blue and green colors.

It is important to note that the entry price corresponds to the price charged by the previous Kindle. In August, Amazon had adjusted the prices of several products in Brazil, raising the basic Kindle from R$ 599 to R$ 899.

The Kindle Paperwhite has also received aesthetic modifications. Its new version is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, maintaining water resistance and offering control over the front light temperature. Amazon guarantees a battery life of up to 12 weeks on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition incorporates aluminum on the back, features 32 GB of memory, and adjustable front lighting. This edition has also gained the functionality of charging via a base with contact pins, known as pogo pins, and supports a double-tap gesture to turn pages.

Other changes observed in the new models include the repositioning of the power button, which has been moved from the bottom to the upper right side section—a change that was already speculated in recent leaks. The official prices for these new versions in the Brazilian market have not yet been disclosed.

According to the company, these new devices are part of a restructuring that allows the line to have finishes in the same color from beginning to end for the first time. The most recent update, in 2024, introduced a 7-inch screen on the Paperwhite and marked the arrival of the Colorsoft line in Brazil in 2025, with a screen capable of displaying up to 4 thousand colors. This year, Amazon expanded its portfolio with the launch of the new Kindle Scribe in Brazil.
