Tehran to host INVEX 2027 exhibition on banking and investment in February 2027

The content secretary of INVEX 2027 announced the holding of a conference and exhibition dedicated to banking, stock exchange, insurance, and investment, which will take place in Tehran from February 4 to 7, 2027.

According to IRNA, Hossein Abde Tabrizi noted at a press conference regarding the Exhibition of Banking, Stock Exchange, Insurance, and Investment (INVEX 2027) that this event will mark the 60th anniversary of the Tehran Stock Exchange.

He added that despite the Iranian capital market size not matching the country's economy, with its dollar value estimated at approximately $100–120 billion, the key point is the availability of all necessary tools for investing in this market, developed to suit the different tastes and risk appetites of various people.

Abde Tabrizi reported that the exhibition will feature 50 specialized sessions on areas such as the capital market, insurance, stock exchange, privatization, and private sector participation in the economy. Sessions on artificial intelligence, the future of the economy, and the capital market are also planned.

Emphasizing the need to define Iran's share in the future artificial intelligence market and clarify strategy in this area, he presented artificial intelligence and modern technologies, as well as their impact on the capital market, as fundamental aspects of INVEX 2027.

This capital market expert considered the development of brokerage services using artificial intelligence one of the fundamental issues for the future stock market and stated that there are uncertainties regarding the influence of artificial intelligence on stock market operations that must be analyzed by experts.

Saeid Eslami Bidgoli, a university economics professor and one of the capital market experts, listed the existing opportunities of the Iranian capital market, noting that due to the exchange rate, the market is valued at approximately $100 billion, but it still has various instruments and potential that can expand and deepen the stock exchange's activities.

Recalling that the Iranian capital market is among the six largest stock exchanges in the region and the top twenty globally, he pointed out that the development of the capital market in recent years has largely depended on the money market, which even drew criticism due to the high dependence of the Iranian capital market on the money market.

Eslami Bidgoli viewed the impact of technology on financial markets as one of the main axes of the INVEX 2027 event.

Farshid Shokr-e Khodai, head of the Investment Committee of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, also addressed the issue of energy imbalance and its impact on industries and the capital market during this meeting. He suggested that the private sector could help the country by investing in energy saving and consumption optimization through the capital market, using tools such as deposit certificates for water, diesel fuel, gas, electricity, and other types of energy resources.

Stressing the need to reduce the government's role and transfer state responsibilities to the private sector, he stated that currently, all resources received by the government come through two channels: oil revenues and tax collections. Given the current economic conditions, the sustainability of these resources is under threat, leading to economic imbalance, and therefore the private sector must actively participate in wealth creation.

Concepts for INVEX 2027 and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the capital market in Iran were also presented at this event, designed using Iranian elements and Persian script.
