Lithuanian and Polish researchers presented information about an ancient artifact found at the bottom of the Jeimyna River. Among the finds was a bone arrowhead, used as a throwing weapon, showing clear signs of having been used with birch sap.

Scientists determined that this item was made from moose or deer bone. The artifact dates back to the period approximately between 8205 and 7762 BCE, corresponding to the Mesolithic era.

Details of the discovery were published in the scientific journal Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences.
