Many people enjoy eating biscuits with tea. Although biscuits are usually bought in stores, you can make crunchy and tasty chickpea flour biscuits at home. Chickpea flour biscuits turn out very appetizing and crispy. To prepare them, chickpea flour is used along with oil or melted butter, powdered sugar, semolina, milk powder, and other ingredients.
It is important to note that no special equipment is required to make these biscuits; they can be easily prepared both in an oven and in a pot. For added flavor, they can be decorated with crushed pistachios or almonds. Below is a simple method for making chickpea flour biscuits and a list of the necessary components.
The recipe requires the following ingredients: 1 cup of chickpea flour, 1/4 cup of oil or melted butter, 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of semolina, 2 teaspoons of milk powder, 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder, 3-4 drops of vanilla extract, 2-3 tablespoons of milk, as well as finely chopped pistachios or almonds for sprinkling.
First, preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius. The finished biscuits should be placed on a baking tray and baked for about 10 minutes. After baking, the biscuits must cool completely, as hot biscuits may break.
To cook the biscuits in a pot, first heat a thick-bottomed pot thoroughly by adding salt and covering it with a lid. Then, place a rack inside the pot, and on it, place a plate lined with parchment paper where the biscuits are placed. Cover the pot with a lid and bake over low heat for approximately 15-20 minutes. When the biscuits acquire a light golden color, turn off the heat. They should only be removed from the plate after cooling completely. Once the biscuits have cooled, they can be stored in an airtight container and served with tea or coffee.
