Pátio Shopping Cianê, located in Sorocaba (SP), hosted a free exhibition titled “National Poetic Movement: 50 Years of Brazilian Poetry, Memory, and Culture.” This show was organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Poetic Movement.
The event's curation was managed by writer Shirley Oliveira Ferro. The initiative is promoted by the City Hall of Sorocaba, through the Secretariat of Culture (Secult), with support from the shopping center itself.
In addition to honoring nationally recognized writers, the project also aims to give visibility to local artistic talents in the region. According to the city hall, the works presented narrate trajectories created by poets who used language as a tool to promote meetings, training, and the safeguarding of Brazilian cultural identity.
Access to the exhibition is free and it will be available in Block B, located on the second floor of the mall. Visiting hours are Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 10 pm, and on Sundays, from 12 pm to 8 pm. Pátio Cianê Shopping is located at Avenida Afonso Vergueiro, nº 823, in the Center, near the Santo Antônio Terminal.
