Ajay Devgn's film 'Drishyam 3' is demonstrating huge box office success, aided by long weekends and positive audience reviews. In less than three days after its release, the film earned 150 crore rupees, reaching record figures by Sunday.
Meanwhile, the film 'Hanuman Ansh', released on August 7th, continues to hold strong positions in theaters, even though more than 50 days have passed since its premiere. Although the number of screenings has decreased due to the release of 'Drishyam 3', the film's box office collections remain stable, and it showed good results even in its eighth week. According to Sakalilk, the film earned 2.10 crore rupees last Saturday.
Currently, there are about 1300 screenings of 'Hanuman Ansh' in the country. Over 58 days, the film has collected 321.73 crore rupees in net income, and globally, its revenue amounts to 419.46 crore rupees. Despite some decline in earnings, the film's ability to stay afloat amid the success of 'Drishyam' is considered a significant achievement.
The situation is complicated by the fact that just before it was released, Vira Pakhadi's film 'Prem Kitanu' and Aparashakti Khurana on October 2nd faced poor box office results. On Saturday, this film only earned 6.5 million rupees, accumulating 1.15 crore rupees in net income over two days. Audiences reacted ambiguously to it, as it is a remake of the South Indian film 'Premalu', and it is being compared to the original. Forecasts suggest that Vira Pakhadi's film will earn around 2 crore rupees in its first weekend.
As for 'Drishyam 3', the director is Abhishek Patak, who also directed the second part. This film is a remake of the 'Drishyam' franchise from Malayalam, with the third episode presented in the original Hindi version.
