The situation is that after delays in visiting through the main entrance, a large number of pilgrims gather near the VIP entrance. As the crowd increases, situations with pushing have repeatedly arisen here.
In addition, there are also queues on the path of faith (Aasta Path), where pilgrims wait in line for hours. Although a stream of faith has flowed into Kedarnath, difficulties for pilgrims are also increasing. To have darshan of Baba Kedarnath, believers have to stand in long queues that sometimes continue until evening, having started in the morning.
The biggest problems are observed near the VIP entrance. Due to delays in visiting through the main entrance, a large number of pilgrims head to the VIP entrance, which leads to crowding as the crowd grows.
There is also a long queue of pilgrims lined up on the path of faith. Visitors who have come from afar to have darshan of Baba Kedarnath are waiting for their turn. Despite standing in line for many hours, the enthusiasm and faith of the pilgrims remain unchanged.
In this environment, questions about organizational measures are being raised. The systems created to control such a large number of arriving pilgrims and ensure easy access to visits seem insufficient.
The Bandri-Kedarnath Mandir committee and the Rudprayag administration face a serious task of organizing the crowd and assisting pilgrims. Thousands of pilgrims arrive in Kedarnath daily hoping to see Baba Kedarnath. In such conditions, the need to organize the crowd, provide relief for pilgrims waiting in line, and make the visiting process seamless is most critical, as strengthening the system is as important as the flow of faith itself.
