According to the latest estimates from the World Health Organization (WHO), Indians may expect a longer life compared to Pakistanis, but their life expectancy is less than that of the populations of Bangladesh, the USA, and Canada.
The WHO also noted that in the two years following 2021, India increased its life expectancy by 2.9 years.
The logic behind this indicator is that having comprehensive insurance coverage for patients may prompt hospitals to order additional diagnostic tests, recommend procedures, and extend hospital stays.
