New measures for controlling the fare payment process have been introduced in Tashkent's public transport. Inspectors now have the right to restrict the functioning of validators during checks, and passengers are strongly advised to pay for their trip immediately after boarding the bus.
JSC 'Toshshahartranskhizmat' has officially informed about the introduction of these updated regulations. According to the new rules, spot checks will be conducted more frequently, and during such inspections, employees will be able to block the operation of validators. This means that the previously practiced method of waiting for a controller before paying is no longer applicable.
Passengers are warned about the necessity of paying for the ride immediately after boarding the vehicle, as violations may result in a fine. Furthermore, it should be noted that changes occurred in Tashkent starting October 1st: electronic payment became 2,5 thousand soms, up from 1.7 thousand soms previously. The cost of cash payment remains at 3 thousand soms. Concurrently, rules for transfers and fares for travel passes have been adjusted.
