At the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Uzbek athlete Jasurbek Jeisunov won the gold medal in the taekwondo heavyweight category up to 80 kg.

In the final match, the athlete from Uzbekistan defeated the representative of Chinese Taipei, winning the tournament championship title. This gold medal is the twentieth award for Uzbekistan at the current Asian Games.

Thanks to this success, the Uzbekistan national team has collectively won 65 medals: 20 gold, 23 silver, and 22 bronze. In total, Uzbekistan ranks fourth in the number of awards.
