Panic erupted among female students at a dormitory in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, when a nearly 10-foot (approximately 3-meter) python was discovered in the bathroom located in the Tili area. The girls who were in the bathroom suddenly saw such a large snake, causing them to become frightened and immediately report it to the dormitory administration.
Upon receiving the information, a snake catcher specialist, Aqil Baba, was called to the dormitory. He arrived at the scene and inspected the bathroom where the python was still present. The presence of the snake caused intense fear among the students.
Snake catcher Aqil Baba began the rescue operation with extreme caution. After some effort, the approximately 10-foot python was safely captured. Once the snake was caught, the students and dormitory staff felt a sense of relief. The snake was safely removed from the bathroom, where the girls had previously been afraid to be.
A crowd of local residents gathered during the rescue operation, who also came to the scene to see the large snake and express their astonishment.
According to Aqil Baba, because it is a girls' dormitory, the girls noticed the snake in the bathroom and reported it immediately. Thanks to the timely notification, the safe rescue of the snake was possible. Aqil Baba caught the python without harming it, and it is now planned to be released in a safe location.
Aqil Baba noted that the Tili area borders hilly terrain, and due to the presence of natural zones, pythons and other types of snakes are frequently found there. Especially during the rainy season, snakes seek safe places in residential areas and buildings, leading to such incidents.
He also stated that pythons had previously appeared in buildings constructed under the housing program. In total, he has conducted the rescue of about 70-75 pythons, which are released into the forest after capture in the presence of the forest service. Thus, the appearance of pythons in the Tili area is not an isolated incident.
Despite the previous appearances of large pythons here, this time the snake measuring about 10 feet was safely caught. It is currently being prepared for release in a safe place. Aqil Baba urged people not to attempt to catch or kill snakes or pythons on their own in homes, dormitories, or other residential areas. In such cases, they should immediately inform a trained snake catcher specialist or the relevant department to ensure the safety of both the snake and the people.
This incident involving the discovery of a nearly 10-foot python in a girls' dormitory bathroom became a topic of discussion throughout the area. For the students, it was a frightening experience when such a large snake suddenly appeared before them. However, thanks to the timely notification and the arrival of the snake catcher specialist, the python was successfully rescued. The students and dormitory staff felt immense relief, and the snake was safely removed.
Considering the information that 70-75 pythons have previously been rescued in the Tili area, it is evident that due to its proximity to hilly and natural territories, the appearance of snakes in residential areas is a common occurrence. Although the appearance of a nearly 10-foot python in the bathroom caused temporary fear among the students, the timely rescue allowed the situation to stabilize.
