These storms have the potential to generate intense rain, wind gusts, and electrical discharges. Temperatures forecast for Campinas will range between 18°C and 28°C, with a feeling of mugginess.

What will the weather be like in Campinas on Sunday?

For Campinas and surrounding areas, Cepagri details the following forecast: there will be periods of sun during the morning; in the late morning and early afternoon, the winds will be moderate to strong; in the afternoon, cloud cover will increase with a high chance of storms. Risks include heavy rain, strong winds, and many lightning strikes, while temperatures will remain between 18°C and 28°C.

Saturday may also have rain in Campinas

On Saturday (the 3rd), the weather in Campinas and the region is also expected to be unstable. The expectation is partly cloudy skies, with periods of greater cloud cover and rain showers starting from the afternoon. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and intense rain in certain locations, with temperatures varying between 16°C and 25°C.

And in the state of São Paulo?

Regarding the state of São Paulo, Cepagri anticipates the arrival of a new cold front this Sunday, which should drive new precipitation in various areas. The sky is expected to have heavy cloud cover, and rain showers are forecast. The greatest danger of storms is concentrated in the western half of the state, where heavy rain accompanied by lightning may occur, without ruling out isolated hail.

At the state level, minimum temperatures are projected between 16°C and 22°C. Maximums may reach 30°C to 34°C in northwestern São Paulo, and vary between 22°C and 30°C in the rest of the state.

Precautions during storms

Cepagri issues an alert stating that storms can develop rapidly, causing abrupt changes in the climate. The recommendation is to seek refuge in safe places, keep distance from trees and fragile structures, and never cross flooded areas.

For Sunday in the Ribeira Valley, the expectation is sun with many clouds and rain showers in the afternoon. At night, there is a forecast of a storm, with an accumulation of 11.7 millimeters of rain, and temperatures will be between 18°C and 28°C.
