EarlyHealth develops home diagnostic system for early disease detection

EarlyHealth, co-founded by Thomas Herzwick and D.J. Collins, is developing solutions to provide people with at-home health diagnostic services. The company's goal is to ensure the early detection, treatment, and prevention of various health issues.

Their home device, the Early home device, was designed by a team including designers, scientists, and medical experts. This home testing system aims to integrate early detection into daily life.

EarlyLab combines a disposable urine test with a compact home laboratory. The system uses patented electrochemical sensor and fluidics technology to analyze urine for biomarkers associated with conditions such as urinary tract cancer, diabetes, kidney diseases, and cardiovascular risk, as well as general well-being indicators.

Analysis results are provided via an app in less than five minutes, allowing users to track changes over time. The device's design deliberately avoids the clinical appearance of traditional diagnostic equipment.

Early's home screening device consists of two main parts: a disposable test strip and a miniaturized laboratory. The test strip is inserted into the Laboratory to perform a urine analysis within minutes via the connected application. The ambition is for complex health monitoring to be perceived not as a medical intervention, but as routine daily life.
