Results from the second phase of clinical trials for the long-acting selective amylin agonist petrelintide were presented by researchers from five different countries. The study concerned the use of this drug in the treatment of obesity.
It was found that weight loss reached nine percent compared to the placebo group. Furthermore, a relatively low incidence of gastrointestinal side effects was noted.
