Adani Projects Worth 2.6 Trillion Rupees Completed or Underway in Maharashtra

The Adani Group, according to Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises, has completed or is in the process of implementing energy and infrastructure projects worth over 2.6 trillion rupees in the state of Maharashtra. These projects are part of the group's broader investment plan totaling 6 trillion rupees, which covers sectors such as energy, aviation, urban renewal, data centers, and coal gasification.

Speaking at the 'Invest Maharashtra' event in Mumbai, Adani emphasized that the Adani Group has committed to an investment plan exceeding 6 trillion rupees in critical and promising areas, including energy, aviation and aerospace zones, urban renewal, data centers, and coal gasification.

He added that the 2.6 trillion rupee projects are either already completed or currently underway. Adani expressed enthusiasm regarding the management of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and the launch of the new Navi Mumbai International Airport, which is intended to be the foundation for the growth of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and serve over 90 million passengers annually.

The Director noted that integrated business and hospitality districts are being developed around these two aviation hubs, which will transform the concept of urban mobility and commerce. Furthermore, through Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML), the company supplies electricity to over 3 million households and businesses across Mumbai.

According to Adani, more than 60 percent of the energy supplied by AEML comes from renewable sources. To protect the financial hub of Mumbai from power outages, the company utilizes a 1000 megawatt High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line, which delivers reliable, clean green energy directly into the city. This is supplemented by pumped storage hydro initiatives across the state to ensure a round-the-clock green baseload.

Pranav Adani also highlighted the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, calling it an ambitious initiative for urban transformation. He concluded that holding the 'Invest Maharashtra' event will help the state create a mechanism to turn investor intentions into on-ground execution.
