The national team of Uzbekistan, under the guidance of Fabio Cannavaro, defeated the Syrian national team in a friendly match with a score of 4:1.
The match took place in Tashkent at the Pakhtakor stadium. The game started with a goal in the 28th minute, scored by Sherzod Esanov following a cross from Husain Norchaev, giving Uzbekistan a 1:0 lead.
By the end of the first half, Akmal Mozgovoy increased the score, extending the lead to two goals for Uzbekistan—2:0.
In the second half, Husain Norchaev scored the third goal for the Uzbekistan national team in the 48th minute. In the 90th minute, the player scored a brace, bringing the score to 4:0. In the final minutes of the match, Syria managed to score one goal when defender Muhammad Khakimov sent the ball into the opponent's net.
Thanks to this victory, the Uzbekistan team earned 3.75 points, moving up one position in the FIFA world ranking to 58th place.
The next friendly match for the Uzbekistan national team is scheduled for October 6 against South Korea. Before this match, Uzbek footballers had already beaten Iran with a score of 3:1.
