Governor and re-election candidate Racelle Lira (PSD) stated that if she wins, she plans to expand the Pernambuco Meu País Festival, directing it to peripheral areas, as well as investing in the state's historical and cultural heritage.
In an interview with TV Globo during her election program, the candidate spoke about plans to increase public access to cultural assets. She emphasized that culture is a source of employment and income for residents and also contributes to boosting self-esteem, mentioning the return of important cultural sites such as the San Bento Monastery and the San Luis Cinema.
Lira also assured that the Pernambuco Meu País Festival would develop and cover the periphery.
The candidate participated in debates accompanied by vice-governor candidate Priscila Krause (PSD). The debate program was divided into four blocks, including open-topic questions and randomly determined questions.
Racelle Lira took part in discussions on proposals for areas such as healthcare and education. In the final block, she outlined her commitments regarding the strengthening of culture in Pernambuco.
After the debates, Racelle Lira took a walk through the streets of the Guabiraba neighborhood, located in the northern zone of Recife. Her activity in the Santo Amaro neighborhood, in the central part of Recife, was also noted.
