Production of gas, oil, and coal in the Republic is decreasing, according to infographics

According to data from the National Statistical Committee, in Uzbekistan, during the period from January to August 2026, the volumes of natural gas, oil, gas condensate, and coal production decreased compared to the same period last year.

In the reporting period, 24.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced, which represents a 16.3% decrease year-on-year.

The volume of oil extracted over eight months amounted to 425 thousand tons, which is 2.1% less than in the corresponding period of 2025.

Additionally, 4.4 million tons of coal were mined, a figure that decreased by 10.2% compared to last year.

According to the National Statistical Committee data, the volume of diesel fuel production increased by 6.1 percent during the year.

In Uzbekistan, from January to August 2026, the volume of gasoline production amounted to 811.3 thousand tons. This figure exceeded the level for the corresponding period in 2025 by 4.6 percent.

During the reporting period, 834.3 thousand tons of diesel fuel were also produced, with its production growing by 6.1 percent year-on-year.
