Fluke operator increased mobile internet volume without changing tariff costs

Mobile operator Fluke has started offering customers up to 150% more internet traffic in packages without changing the monthly fee, and also introduced a new starter plan. According to CEO Marcos Oliveira Jr., this move goes against trends in the telecommunications sector, where the best conditions are often only available to new subscribers.

He stated in a comment to Tecnoblog that the company decided to do the opposite: improve conditions for all existing customers without requiring any additional requests from them, as loyalty is often penalized in their market.

For example, packages that previously offered 6 GB and 12 GB now include 15 GB and 30 GB respectively. Simultaneously, Fluke raised the price of the plan intended for users who primarily use the line for WhatsApp access.

All packages provide 4G and 5G coverage (thanks to the partnership with Vivo and Telecall). WhatsApp, Waze, and Google Maps applications do not consume internet traffic. Additionally, unlimited calls (including DDD) to any operator and 10 SMS messages are provided. Fluke does not require adherence to long-term contract terms. When traffic runs out, the connection does not drop; the speed is reduced to 512 Kbps until replenishment or purchase of additional gigabytes.

The personalized package, which allows the customer to combine gigabytes, minutes, and SMS independently based on the monthly subscription, is changing with the introduction of the new portfolio. WhatsApp remains unlimited and included in the subscription, while gigabytes, minutes, and SMS are purchased separately. The price of R$ 12.90 applies to all individuals and companies that opened accounts on October 1st.

The new tariffs will be applied automatically. The CEO explained to Tecnoblog that this transformation was made possible because customers provided the operator with the necessary scale to increase efficiency and renegotiate terms with suppliers.

Corporate lines already account for half of Fluke's customer base and 70% of new connections. In the CEO's opinion, the cost per gigabyte for this audience has decreased by 60%. Fluke was founded in 2018 in São Carlos, São Paulo state, and has been operating in the market since 2020.
