Samsung Launches Two New Budget Smartphones in India: Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08

Samsung has added two new devices to its affordable smartphone lineup in the Indian market: the Galaxy M08 and the Galaxy F08. Both models feature a large 6000mAh battery, a 50MP camera, and run on the Android 17 operating system. A significant feature is that Samsung assures long-term software updates for both phones.

Both smartphones are equipped with a 6000mAh battery and support 25W wired fast charging, indicating Samsung's specific focus on battery capacity in this price segment. However, it is not yet confirmed whether the charger will come in the box. Additionally, these phones include a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a USB Type-C port. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.

50MP Camera and 90Hz Display

Both smartphones come with a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen, which has a resolution of 720x1600 pixels and supports a 90Hz refresh rate, providing a smoother experience for general use and scrolling. The camera setup on the rear is a dual configuration, featuring a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera offers autofocus and 10x digital zoom. An 8MP front camera is provided for selfies and video calling, and the phones can record videos up to 30fps in 1080p resolution.

The biggest highlight of the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 is not just the battery or the camera; Samsung is offering long-term software support with these phones. Both devices come with One UI 9 based on Android 17, and the company promises six OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Furthermore, these phones incorporate advanced Samsung features such as Circle to Search, Quick Share, and Knox Vault.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy M08 and F08 utilize the MediaTek Helio G99+ processor. This is a 6nm octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. Both phones are listed with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB with a microSD card, benefiting users who need to store more photos, videos, and files.

IP64 Rating Also Available

The Samsung Galaxy M08 and F08 have an IP64 rating, meaning these phones are protected against dust and also offer protection against water splashes. Both phones are equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and they weigh approximately 197 grams.

However, Samsung has not yet released the official pricing for the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 in India. Information regarding the sale and pricing of both phones is yet to be disclosed. Some reports suggested a potential price of around ₹16,999 for the 4GB+64GB model, but this is not an officially confirmed price by the company, so it should only be considered an estimated value.
