The South African DJ and producer Black Coffee, a recognized Grammy Award laureate for his work, has been announced as the first headliner for the Africa Is Not A Jungle event in 2026.
This global artist will lead the musical and cultural event in Durban on November 7th at Kings Park Field. The event aims to bring African music, creativity, and culture to the forefront.
Africa Is Not A Jungle itself announced this through its social media channels, presenting Black Coffee as the first artist whose name was revealed for this year.
The event in Durban will start at noon, and the festival promises to be a celebration focused on African creativity, unity, and the future.
According to the official list of events, this initiative is designed to refute outdated perceptions of the continent, placing African excellence at the center of the stage and the entire event.
Black Coffee's connection with Africa Is Not A Jungle goes beyond his role as a performer. This platform was created to showcase African talent and change the way the continent is presented through music, culture, and creativity. Black Coffee previously described this initiative as a way to help Africa 'be seen in the right light.'
Following the event in Durban, there will be another Africa Is Not A Jungle event in Johannesburg on November 28th at Reflection Cradle in Muldersdrift, where Black Coffee is also named as a headliner.
Please note that the Durban event is intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 and over, and gates will open at 12:00 PM.
