The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) publicly expressed its full support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino and his intention to maintain close cooperation with the organization.
This statement was made during Infantino's visit to Uzbekistan. In Tashkent, the FIFA President reviewed current projects for the development of football infrastructure, including the construction of a new stadium in Yangi Tashkent.
Infantino received information on the progress of the stadium construction, its infrastructure, and the conditions being created for hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, the FIFA President met with the national team of Uzbekistan. The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek football, as well as the national team's participation in international competitions.
During the meeting with the UFA president, Infantino discussed cooperation with FIFA, the development of football infrastructure, support for youth football, and the further promotion of Uzbek football on the international stage.
As part of his visit, the head of FIFA participated in the opening of a new football pitch at Secondary School No. 90 in Tashkent. This project aims to develop mass sports among youth and create modern conditions for football training.
UFA emphasized that it fully supports FIFA and Gianni Infantino and intends to continue close interaction with the international governing body of football.
