Mirziyoyev believes female entrepreneurship is a stimulus for strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the joint application of the experience and resources of Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of developing female entrepreneurship will serve as a new impetus for bilateral interaction. He voiced this idea during his address to participants of the fourth business forum of women entrepreneurs from both countries, which was held in Khiva.

According to information provided by the presidential office, last year the trade volume between the countries reached almost one billion dollars. Mirziyoyev set an ambitious goal to double this figure by 2030. To achieve this goal, he believes it is necessary to strengthen direct contacts between business circles and regions, as well as develop industrial cooperation.

The head of state noted that female entrepreneurs are actively mastering new markets and implementing modern technologies. He defined support for women's business as a key element of economic growth and increased competitiveness. He also reported that only last year 23.5 trillion soms were allocated to support initiatives of female entrepreneurs, equivalent to approximately two billion dollars; thanks to this, more than 425 thousand women were able to find employment or start their own businesses.

The President highly praised Belarus' policy regarding increasing the share of women in science and production, as well as the decision to declare 2026 the Year of the Belarusian Woman. He expressed his conviction that this forum will become the foundation for further joint work, as the knowledge and energy of women contribute to economic development and the strengthening of strategic partnership.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan and the Minsk Free Economic Zone previously reached an agreement on activating industrial interaction. The parties discussed the prospects of launching joint enterprises and promoting goods produced by both Uzbek and Belarusian manufacturers.
