Grammy Award winner Tyla will perform three times in South Africa as part of her A*POP world tour. Due to high demand for tickets, a decision was made to add an extra date in Pretoria at the SunBet Arena, which will take place on Friday, January 8, 2027, before the already announced concert on Saturday, January 9.
This means that fans from Gauteng will have two chances to see the global star live in her home country during her first full solo tour in South Africa next year.
Furthermore, the concert scheduled for January 9 was moved from the Nasrec Outdoor Area in Johannesburg to the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. This change occurred due to concerns about possible thunderstorms in the Highveld region, the need to reassess the overall audience experience, and fan requests for seated options.
Local promoters Showtime Management and Anything Goes secured the new venue, and now both dates in Gauteng will be held at the SunBet Arena.
Tyla's fans in South Africa, affectionately known as Tygers, have repeatedly requested another show in Gauteng, and the artist has responded to these wishes. Previously, the singer performed at the SunBet Arena in 2025 before a sold-out crowd, giving fans an idea of the energy they can expect upon her return in January.
This time, she will present new music from her recently released second studio album, 'A*POP', which reached number one on the Billboard US World Albums chart and third on the UK R&B Albums chart.
Tickets for the new date on January 8 and the date on January 9 in Pretoria are sold exclusively through Ticketmaster.co.za; ticket prices for seats start from 895 Rand, excluding service charges. Fans who have already purchased tickets for the Johannesburg show on January 9 do not need to worry, as their tickets remain valid and have been automatically transferred to the SunBet Arena in the same ticket category. The company Howler contacted existing ticket holders regarding ticket substitutions, refunds, and related arrangements, and all tickets were transferred to Ticketmaster.
The A*POP world tour, consisting of 34 dates, marks Tyla's first full solo tour and will cover Europe, the UK, and North America, including stops in cities such as Toronto and Los Angeles. Her return to South Africa will include three concerts on the continent: in Cape Town at the Green Point Track on Monday, January 4, 2027, followed by two dates in Gauteng at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria—on Friday, January 8, and Saturday, January 9.
