Price increase expected for Skoda cars starting October 1; possible rise up to 20 thousand rubles

A price increase is planned for a range of vehicles starting October 1st. The company Skoda is raising prices on its models, with the overall increase potentially reaching 1.2 percent. The decision to raise prices was made during a period of improving brand sales, as Skoda sold over 72 thousand units in 2025, marking the highest annual figure for the company.

According to Skoda, the reason for the price hike is the increase in operational and input costs. The price increase will vary depending on the specific model, but the maximum price increase for any vehicle will not exceed 20 thousand rubles. Information has been provided regarding the potential price changes for some models.

The Skoda Kylaq model, currently available in the price range of 7.59 to 12.99 lakh rupees, may increase in price by up to 15,588 rupees after the price adjustment. It is important to note that this amount is based on the maximum increase of 1.2 percent and is not official. Meanwhile, the Skoda Slavia, priced from 10 to 18.19 lakh rupees, is preparing to release an updated version (Skoda Slavia Facelift); its price could increase by 20 thousand rupees, although the updated version might cost more.

As for the Skoda Kushaq, its starting export price ranges from 10.69 to 18.99 lakh rupees, and a rise of up to 20 thousand rupees is also possible here. Furthermore, the Skoda Kodiaq, whose initial price is 36.99 lakh rupees, could also become more expensive by 20 thousand rupees.

Skoda has not yet disclosed new model-specific prices but has confirmed that the maximum increase will be 20 thousand rupees. The launch of the new Skoda Slavia Facelift is planned for October 6th; production of this model has already begun, and orders are open.

Earlier this year, Skoda had already raised the prices of its vehicles. In January, prices for the Skoda Slavia, Kylaq, and Kushaq were adjusted: Slavia increased by 34 thousand rupees, Kylaq by 19 thousand rupees, and Kushaq by 5-7 thousand rupees. Nevertheless, the beginning of the year is traditionally a period of price review for most automakers.
