Ajay Devgn states that the new film is better than 'Drishyam 2'; one regret remains

The release of the film 'Drishyam 3' (Drishyam: Conclusion) is scheduled for October 2, marking the conclusion of a story that began 11 years ago with the Vijay Salgaonkar family. This film is the final installment in the 'Drishyam' franchise.

The film's trailer generated significant public interest, leading to a large number of pre-bookings. According to Sakencilk, in the first three days after sales began, specifically from September 27, the film collected over 400,000 tickets, generating a gross revenue of 17.23 crore rupees, of which about 10 crore was earned without corporate bookings. This period covers the dates from October 2 to October 4.

On the first day alone, October 2, the film was screened in approximately 7,480 theaters across the country, collecting 8.90 crore rupees from pre-bookings, including 6.73 crore rupees without corporate buyers. About 2.23 lakh tickets were sold on the first day. Industry analysts estimate that Ajay Devgn's picture could start with a box office collection exceeding 40 crore rupees, which would be the highest figure in the history of this franchise.

If the pace of pre-sales continues, 'Drishyam 3' could become the second highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, provided it collects around 40–50 crore rupees on its opening day. Currently, the record for the highest box office revenue in the Hindi film industry belongs to 'Durdanhar 2' with 90 crore rupees, followed by 'Border 2' starring Sunny Deol with 32.10 crore rupees.

The creators themselves announced that 'Drishyam: Conclusion' will be the last film in the Hindi franchise. All actors from previous parts will participate in the film, and Jaydeep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj will also join.

Interest in Indian films is currently surpassing interest in South Indian cinema. The film 'Hanuman Ansh,' which has been in theaters for 50 days, is showing high box office collections. Although several other films were released during its run, they proved to be unsuccessful. New major movies premiered in theaters this week, attracting public attention.

Among them are 'The One' starring Siddharth Malhotra and Tamma Bhatia, as well as Nani's 'The Paradise,' which competed with it.

Considering 'Hanuman Ansh': on its 50th day, there was a slight decrease in revenue. According to Sakencilk, on its seventh Friday, the film earned a net of 3.35 crore rupees across 3767 screens. The film's total net collection reached 291.53 crore rupees. Due to the release of new movies, the number of screens showing 'Hanuman Ansh' also significantly decreased. Previously, on the 24th, the film was shown on approximately 6000 screens, indicating that its earnings began to gradually decline.

On the other hand, Nani and Raghav Jurel's film 'The Paradise,' released on a weekday on September 24th, also faced serious financial losses. After earning over 45 crore rupees in net collection on its premiere day, the film's revenue dropped by 57% on the second day. By Friday, the film collected a net of 14.90 crore rupees, reaching 61.15 crore rupees over two days. Based on the start, it seemed the film would easily collect 100 crore rupees in two days, but this now seems unlikely. The film faced a serious slump due to negative audience reviews.

Meanwhile, the film 'The One Force of the Forest,' produced with the involvement of Ekta Kapoor, created a sensation at the box office. It started with an opening collection of 8 crore rupees across 7646 screens on the first day. States such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh contributed the most to this success. The film's plot is related to the Temple of the Forest Goddess in Bihar and depicts the sacred festival of Chhath Puja, which evokes a strong emotional connection among the local population. Critics gave the film mixed reviews. Nevertheless, the film starring Siddharth Malhotra started its run with a strong beginning, and it remains to be seen what its total earnings will be over its entire run.
