FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited School No. 90 in Tashkent, where the opening of a new football pitch took place. This facility was built as part of the FIFA Arena project implementation.
Representatives of the football association, the Minister of Sports of Uzbekistan, and football veterans were present at the opening ceremony. The guests wished the students to engage more actively in sports, train, and achieve significant results.
Thanks to this new pitch, students have gained a modern venue for playing football games and training. The goal of creating the facility is to stimulate the interest of a larger number of children in sports and provide them with comfortable conditions for their activities.
At the end of the event, Gianni Infantino presented souvenirs to the children and took joint photographs with the participants. This new sports area is integrated into the overall program to improve the accessibility of sports infrastructure for youth and popularize football among schoolchildren.
It should be noted that Infantino is in Tashkent as part of an official visit. During his stay, he plans to inspect various facilities and study the progress of preparing the capital for the U-20 World Youth Football Championship, which will take place in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in 2027.
