In celebration of World Heart Day, observed on September 29th, NMC Healthcare urges residents across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take proactive measures to improve heart health. To mark this occasion, NMC is organizing free screenings at various hospitals, medical centers, and public locations throughout the country.
The human heart beats over one hundred thousand times daily; however, this vital rhythm often goes unnoticed until health problems arise. Globally, cardiovascular diseases remain one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality, claiming millions of lives annually. Nevertheless, there is positive news: most risks can be mitigated through early detection, regular check-ups, and adopting a healthier lifestyle.
These screenings are designed to give people a clear picture of their cardiovascular system's condition. Participants will have the opportunity to undergo blood pressure monitoring, Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment, as well as tests for cholesterol and blood sugar levels. If necessary, they will be offered a consultation with experienced specialists. Furthermore, participants will receive helpful materials and expert advice for timely recognition of warning signs and implementing heart-friendly habits.
