A technopark will operate in Fergana, specializing in the production of agricultural drones, as well as in training operators and providing services to agricultural producers. These devices are intended for various tasks, including field monitoring, fertilizer application, and vegetation treatment.
The implementation of the FSTU Aeroinjinering technopark project is carried out with the participation of a Chinese investor on the territory of Hongsheng Texnologik Rivojlantirish company. The project is located on a one-hectare plot in the 'Eco shahar' industrial zone.
This company will have the opportunity to carry out the full cycle of work with agricultural drones and their components in Uzbekistan: import, production, assembly, sale, storage, maintenance, and repair. In addition, operator training, professional level improvement, and certification will take place at the site.
According to established rules, agricultural drones can be used for crop observation, spraying plant protection products and fertilizers, and analyzing the condition of agricultural lands. Furthermore, the maximum flight altitude of these devices is limited to 30 meters, and operation is permitted only to certified specialists.
The technopark territory will be equipped with testing grounds and laboratories, as well as research and design centers, training areas for operators, and logistics and service facilities.
The Ministry of Agriculture has received an instruction from the Ministry of Agriculture, together with other state structures, to develop relevant regulations concerning the production, registration, and certification of drones, as well as to establish requirements for the safe training and operation of operators.
It is worth noting that water consumption regulation in Uzbekistan was previously strengthened, within which the 'Vodkhoznadzor' inspection was granted the authority to use unmanned aerial vehicles for monitoring, although such activities will not be classified as business inspections.
