A section of the Mary River, known as Shady Camp, has the highest density of brackish crocodiles found anywhere on the planet. The crocodiles inhabiting this area can swim at a speed of 28 kilometers per hour, and when jumping from the bank, they cover a distance of six to seven meters in approximately one second.
