According to a statement from the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, members of the national boxing team won 17 medals at the fourth international tournament under the 'Belt and Road' initiative, which took place in China during a joint training camp.
The international training camp involving members of the national team was held in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China from September 14 to 29. During this preparation period, the athletes participated in an international tournament.
The team secured seven gold medals. Among the winners in the under 50 kg category were Shodiyordjon Melikuziev, as well as Shokhruh Abdumalikov (60 kg), Madiyar Daniyarov (65 kg), Ruslan Sharipbayev (90 kg), Madiyar Saidrakhimov (over 90 kg), Zilolahon Yusupova (51 kg), and Rukhshona Parpiyev (80 kg).
Four silver medals were won by Athamjon Mukhitdinov (65 kg), Safarmurod Allaberganov (75 kg), Shahzod Polvonov (over 90 kg), and Sobirakhon Shohobiddinov (over 80 kg).
Six other team members received bronze awards: Amirbek Ismoilov (50 kg), Abdulaziz Jurakulov (70 kg), Ozodbek Aliyev (over 90 kg), Jasmin Tokhirova (48 kg), Sevinch Khuramova (65 kg), and Aisannem Saruarova (75 kg).
The athletes were coached by Ramz Akhmedov, Yusufjon Tursunov, Ikrom Berdiev, Ozod Hasanov, Bahodirjon Nuriddinov, and Rustam Abilov. Asliddin Abdumalimov served as the referee.
