Mahsa Beheshti, an Iranian weightlifter, won a bronze medal in weightlifting during the 2026 Asian Games, which took place on Tuesday in Tehran.
In the women's 86 kg category, 17-year-old Beheshti demonstrated her result by lifting 113 kg in the snatch, 146 kg in the clean and jerk, totaling 259 kg.
The gold medal was won by Yu Yan from China, who achieved a result of 124 kg in the snatch, 149 kg in the clean and jerk, for a total of 273 kg.
The silver award was received by Alina Marushkach from Bahrain, achieving a result of 124 kg in the snatch, 148 kg in the clean and jerk, for a total of 272 kg.
It is worth noting that previously Reyhaneh Karimi from Iran had already won a bronze medal in the women's 77 kg category.
