KT UniExpo opened in Dubai today, an event that allows students and parents from the United Arab Emirates to explore educational institutions from around the world in one place. The tenth edition of the exhibition brings together more than 35 universities and educational institutions.
The event is held at the Millennium Plaza Downtown Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road and runs for two days. It provides families with the opportunity to speak directly with university representatives, admissions specialists, and career consultants, helping them make decisions about higher education.
Participating institutions represent countries such as the UAE, the UK, the USA, Canada, India, Australia, and Europe. The offered programs cover a wide range of disciplines, including artificial intelligence, data science, medicine, aerospace engineering, business, finance, media, and design.
The main focus for families is not only on choosing a university but also on understanding admission requirements, scholarships, financial aid, visa procedures, and career prospects associated with various specializations.
The event was officially opened by KT's Chief Content Director, Ted Kemp, and Abdulla Mohana, Senior Vice President and Head of Educational Solutions at RAKBANK, UAE. Kemp noted that the exhibition reflects Khaleej Times' broader role in uniting the educational community, especially given the growing status of the UAE as a destination for international students and a starting point for those planning to study abroad.
He emphasized Khaleej Times' mission to serve the educational sector—students, parents, and society at large. According to him, education is not just about raising youth; it is an industry, and the UAE has transformed into a global hub for education and opportunities. He added that the student movement flows both ways: students from the UAE seek education abroad, and international students consider the UAE for their studies.
