Dubai startup Amaani raises $5 million in Series A round

The beauty and wellness startup Amaani, based in Dubai, has successfully raised $5 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by BECO Capital, with participation from Homegrown Ventures and Surge from Peak XV.

Amaani plans to use the funds to expand its cosmetic brand AIZA across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The initial markets for expansion will be Saudi Arabia, followed by Kuwait and Qatar.

Additionally, the capital will be used to develop products, strengthen technological infrastructure, and attract talent. Amaani was founded by Shubham Poddar and launched its brand in December 2024.

The company stated that AIZA's net revenue increased more than ninefold compared to the previous year in the first half of 2026. AIZA products offer skincare and haircare using ingredients such as dates, black seed, frankincense, rose, and bakhoor. The formulas are developed in laboratories in Korea, Japan, and Italy.

Flagship products of the AIZA brand include the Sukkar Rush lip balm, Scent Storm hair spray, and Date Setter eyebrow and lash serum. The brand's formulas are vegan, cruelty-free, alcohol-free, and meet 'Clean at Sephora' standards.

Currently, the brand is available through Amaani's own website, as well as on the Ounass and Ulta Beauty platforms in the UAE.
