A bilateral trade and economic forum between Uzbekistan and China took place in Nukus, resulting in the signing of numerous agreements totaling over 400 million dollars. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade.
About 400 people participated in the forum, representing state bodies and business partners from both countries. Participants included representatives of the Shensi Province delegation from China, as well as representatives from SilkRoad Industrial Cooperation Center, Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group, and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.
The parties discussed expanding cooperation in areas such as mining, geology, information technology, and agriculture. Chinese investors were presented with projects, resources, and benefits available in Karakalpakstan.
As part of the forum program, it was planned for the Chinese delegation to visit industrial zones, including the salt extraction plant at the Kungirot Salt Factory, as well as the 'Kungrad Salt Free Zone' industrial zone. Additionally, a special presentation on investment opportunities in IT, artificial intelligence, and data center construction is scheduled.
Previously, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced plans to implement six projects in the special zone of Karakalpakstan for artificial intelligence and data centers, with a total value of 8 billion dollars.
