The election of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) took place in Tehran concurrently with a meeting of the committee's Council at the Iran Chamber of Trade, Industry, Mining and Agriculture (ICCIMA).
The meeting of the Iranian ICC Council was chaired by Samad Hassanzadeh, President of ICCIMA. Attendees included Abolfazl Roghani Golpayegani, Secretary-General of the Iran Chamber, Ahmad Pour-Fallah, Chairman of the Iran-Italy Joint Chamber of Commerce, as well as 23 out of 24 council members.
At the beginning of the meeting, Samad Hassanzadeh, President of the Iran Chamber, noted the successes and efforts of the Iranian ICC and its Secretary-General. He also drew attention to the current economic situation in the country and the significance of private economic entities in ensuring market stability.
Hassanzadeh emphasized the important role of this committee in developing international ties between chambers of commerce and economic actors, as well as in strengthening these interactions, mentioning future plans for the Iranian ICC.
Following this, Mohammad Hazai presented a report on key measures and activities during the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, as well as on negotiations and interactions with ICC presidents and affiliated bodies, and agreements reached. He also highly praised the effective and comprehensive support provided by the President and the Board of Directors of the Iranian Chamber over the three-year period.
Since the three-year term of the Iranian ICC Board of Directors had expired, the Council meeting proceeded to the procedure for electing a new composition of the Board of Directors.
