The Ministry of Energy announced the launch of the new NURA power plant complex, which will produce modern equipment for the energy sector. This facility is located in the Yukori-Chirchik district of the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan.
This enterprise has become one of the significant projects in Central Asia focused on producing electrical equipment for the energy industry. The launch of this complex is part of broader efforts to localize the production of components and equipment, as well as to develop industrial cooperation and create import-substituting products.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev, Minister of Energy Sherzod Khodjayev, heads of joint ventures in the energy sector, representatives of local manufacturing companies, and mass media.
It is planned that the factory will produce 1500 types of electrical products, with the average level of localization reaching 60%. The start of production will allow for the creation of 1000 new jobs and increase the output of high-tech products for the domestic market.
The products manufactured at the plant are intended to meet the needs of Uzbekistan's energy sector. Furthermore, the enterprise intends to export its products to CIS countries and Europe.
