The general meeting of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Japan took place at the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture (ICCIMA) on Sunday, September 27. The event was attended by Tamaki Tsukada, the Japanese Ambassador to Tehran, and Hossein Selahvari, President of the Joint Chamber of Iran and Japan.
Previously, on September 22, a meeting was held between the Japanese ambassador and Hossein Selahvari. During this discussion, the parties addressed the long-standing economic ties between the two countries, as well as the efforts, determination, and willingness of both sides to support and strengthen these relations even during difficult periods.
Emphasizing the economy as the foundation of bilateral relations, the participants also exchanged views on the importance of culture and interpersonal communication and interaction between the two states. Officials reviewed past cooperation experiences and potential future opportunities.
The meeting demonstrated a shared commitment to dialogue and cooperation. Both sides stressed that cultural exchange can complement commercial ties and contribute to maintaining long-term friendship between Iran and Japan. The event took place against a backdrop of regional instability, but both sides highly value these relations and intend to continue negotiations.
