Uzbekistan wins two gold and one bronze medal in Kurash wrestling at Asian Games

The national rowing team of Uzbekistan has concluded its participation in the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, winning a silver medal.

Team Participation Results

The silver award was won in the men's M4 event. The team consisted of athletes Dilshod Khudoyberdiyev, Fazliddin Karimov, Alisher Turdiyev, and Maxim Golubev. Thus, representatives of Uzbekistan have completed their participation in the rowing competitions at the Asian Games.

At the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026, Uzbekistan won a second gold medal, which was secured by Shohsanam Sherzodova in women's single canoe over 200 meters.

In addition to Sherzodova's gold medal, Uzbek athletes earned six other awards in rowing and canoeing competitions.

Rowing Results

In rowing, Shahboz Kholmurzaev took second place in the men's single scull M1x, winning a silver medal. Another silver medal in the men's double scull M2x was obtained by Mehroy Mamatkulov and Pavel Sorin, who covered the distance in 6:10.49, finishing in second place.

In the M2 class, Maxim Golubev and Alisher Turdiev won bronze medals, completing the distance in 6:32.34.

Silver medals in women's rowing went to Anna Aksenova, Maria Sergeyeva, Raikhona Sattorova, and Aidane Smetullaeva, who took second place in the W4- class.

Canoeing Results

In women's canoeing over 500 meters, Arina Tanatmisheva and Ekaterina Shubina took third place, receiving bronze medals. Another silver medal for Uzbekistan was won by canoeists Artur Guliyev and Vladlen Denisov, who finished second in the 500-meter distance.

Thus, Uzbek athletes collectively won one gold, three silver, and three bronze medals in these disciplines.

Uzbekistan won two bronze medals at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

The medals were won by fencer Polina Volobueva and Wushu athlete Sadyullo Abdurashidov.

Volobueva participated in the women's floor fencing tournament and reached the semi-finals, where she managed to win a bronze award.

The second medal for Uzbekistan was achieved by Abdurashidov in the wushu discipline. In the Sanda competition in the under 56 kg category, the Uzbek athlete reached the semi-finals but lost to his opponent from China. Following this, Abdurashidov received a bronze medal.

Thanks to this success, Abdurashidov secured the second medal for Uzbekistan in the wushu competitions.
