The National Social Protection Agency held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank to discuss methods for creating new criteria for including citizens in need of support into the Social Register.
This meeting took place as part of fulfilling instructions given by the president during a video selection meeting held on September 3rd. The main focus of the participants was on implementing a multidimensional approach that will allow for a more detailed assessment of the socio-economic situation of families.
The proposed new methodology involves taking into account not only the family's income level but also a number of other significant social aspects. These factors include the presence of disability, chronic illnesses, the status of a large family, as well as information about the employment of family members abroad.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed on further actions aimed at developing criteria that will ensure a more targeted and specific transfer of social payments to those citizens who genuinely need them.
