As part of the rolling stock renewal program for the Tashkent Metro, 14 new modern train sets have arrived in the capital. These sets, consisting of 56 carriages, were delivered before the start of the academic year in 2026.
Thanks to the acquisition of new trains, the metro's carriage fleet has been modernized by almost 70%. Currently, the new generation trains are already operating on four metro lines.
The introduction of new sets has contributed to reducing the intervals between passing trains, which is especially noticeable during peak hours. On the Chilanzar line, the travel interval is 1.5–2 minutes, on the Uzbekistan line—3 minutes, on the Yunusabad line—4 minutes, and on the surface ring line—7–8 minutes.
