The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the reduction of preventive entry measures that were introduced in June 2026 for citizens of the Republic of Uganda. These measures were adopted in connection with the development of the situation related to the Ebola virus.
This decision was made following the ongoing assessment of the epidemiological situation and reflects the latest changes in public health, including the conclusion of the Ebola outbreak in Uganda after the end of the monitoring period established by the international community.
Meanwhile, preventive restrictions in place for the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan will remain in effect due to the ongoing epidemiological situation.
