Iranian Javelin Thrower Taibi Wins Seventh Gold Medal for Iran at Asian Games in Nagoya

In Nagoya, Japan, on Friday, Iranian discus thrower Sadegh Samimi won the bronze medal at the XX Asian Games Haiti-Nagoya 2026.

He achieved this award by throwing the disc a distance of 60.32 meters.

The gold medal was won by Abudayni Tuergon from China with a result of 64.26 meters, concluding China's 24-year wait in this sport. The silver medal was taken by Wu Nanjun from China with a result of 61.58 meters.

At the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026, Uzbekistan won a second gold medal, which was secured by Shohsanam Sherzodova in women's single canoe over 200 meters.
