Sennheiser launches headphones at ₹39,990 and earbuds at ₹29,990 in India

Sennheiser has launched its new Momentum 5 Series in India for audio enthusiasts. This series includes the Momentum 5 Wireless headphones and the Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds. Sennheiser is renowned for its premium sound quality, and the battery replacement feature in these newly launched products is being highly appreciated.

The Sennheiser Momentum 5 Wireless features a 42mm dynamic driver, which the company states was inspired by their HD 600 series headphones. It is equipped with Hybrid Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) featuring 8 microphones to aid in ambient noise reduction. Furthermore, the headphones support Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio and Head Tracking, making the sound feel more lifelike when listening to music, movies, or other content. It also supports codecs such as Bluetooth 5.4, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and AAC.

A key feature of these headphones is their battery life; the company claims it can last up to 57 hours with ANC on. A 7-hour playback can be achieved with just a 10-minute charge. Most notably, its 700mAh battery is user-replaceable.

Similarly, Sennheiser has introduced the Momentum True Wireless 5. These earbuds are fitted with 7mm TrueResponse dynamic transducers and support aptX Lossless along with 24-bit/96kHz high-res audio, Bluetooth 6.0, and aptX Adaptive. They offer Adaptive Hybrid ANC and Transparency Mode, in addition to Dolby Atmos and Head Tracking capabilities. In terms of battery, the earbuds last up to 12 hours on a single charge and up to 40 hours total with the charging case. An important aspect is that both the earbuds and the charging case batteries are replaceable. The Momentum True Wireless 5 has an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and light water splashes. It is available in Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim, and Lavender colors.

Regarding the pricing of these new devices, the Sennheiser Momentum 5 Wireless is priced at ₹39,990 in India, while the Momentum True Wireless 5 is launched at ₹29,990. Pre-orders for both devices have started from September 24, and sales will commence on October 1, 2026. Customers who pre-order may also receive a Sennheiser BTD 600 Bluetooth USB Dongle valued at ₹5,990.

Mahindra introduces new THAR OG model with updated specifications and prices

Mahindra has released a new version of its vehicle, named the Mahindra Thar OG. In addition to the name change, numerous updates have been made to this new model.

The new three-door Thar OG is equipped with a powerful engine, features a redesigned look, improved interior materials, and a new suspension system. The car is fitted with a new 2.2-liter diesel engine and an automatic transmission, which is now available even without four-wheel drive.

Mahindra has set the starting price for the new Thar at 10.32 lakh rupees for the exclusive configuration (ex-showroom). The base XT version will be equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel engine with a manual gearbox, which is also available in the LXT and ZXT configurations. This engine produces 87.2 kW (approximately 116.9 hp) and generates 300 Nm of torque.

The LXT and ZXT configurations will feature more powerful engines: a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 150.1 hp and 330 Nm of torque, as well as a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine providing 159.6 hp and 330 Nm of torque.

The front end of the Thar OG has been updated: it features a redesigned grille consistent with Thar branding, as well as new LED headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights. Additionally, the vehicle is integrated with LED fog lights with built-in turn function.

Although the overall appearance remains similar to the current Thar and Thar Rocks, Mahindra has updated the SUV's front and rear bumpers. The vehicle is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, redesigned rear LED taillights, and OG branding on the tailgate.

The interior space of the SUV has undergone less significant changes than the exterior. Improvements in the Thar OG include brown leatherette upholstery (Truffle Brown Leatherette) and a second-row seat armrest. Mahindra claims that the noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) level in the Thar OG has been reduced.

Regarding safety systems, the vehicle comes standard with six airbags. Mahindra states that this is the first vehicle in its segment equipped with the HPTS (Head, Pelvis, Thorax and Shoulder) airbag system, designed to protect the head, pelvis, thorax, and shoulders.

The braking system has also been modernized: the vehicle is now equipped with four disc brakes. Additional features available include ESP, traction control, Hill-Hold Control, and dynamic vehicle control system. The cabin is also fitted with front parking sensors.
