A Dubai-based company owned by an entrepreneur currently under scrutiny in the southern Indian state of Kerala continues its operations as usual, a customer support representative reported. The project management firm confirmed that its branches in the UAE—in Dubai and Abu Dhabi—are operating without interruption.
The company representative stated: 'We are open, and our work is proceeding as normal.' He added that the company has been functioning for over ten years and continues to assist people with migration to Canada, as well as obtaining work visas for other European countries.
On Thursday, Kerala police informed the media that the entrepreneur, who arrived from Dubai in Kerala's capital, Trivandrum (officially known as Thiruvananthapuram), was taken into custody regarding alleged foreign employment fraud. She was later granted temporary release on bail. According to Indian media reports, the woman was detained based on complaints that her company had deceived job applicants by promising them employment in Poland and Armenia.
Indian law stipulates that detention does not always equate to arrest; citizens can be held for investigation purposes, and the decision to initiate legal proceedings will depend on the investigation's outcomes.
An employee stated that the entrepreneur maintained regular contact with her staff. She recounted: 'Madam was constantly in touch in our group chats for employees.' She also mentioned that the manager urged everyone to remain focused on their work and ignore information circulating in the media and social networks.
Employees expressed confidence that their boss would be acquitted. 'Madam told us that the case is based on a misunderstanding and that she will be cleared in a day or two,' she shared. 'We are confident we can get through this storm.'
Indian media had reported that the woman fled to Dubai after the case was registered in January, but an employee refuted this claim. The worker asked: 'If she knew about the case against her, why would she travel to India? She had no idea about any legal proceedings against her.'
The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
