Officials reported that the South Pars gas complex is ready for maximum and sustainable gas processing to meet the country's needs during cold weather, following the successful completion of capital repair work at its oil refineries.
According to Mehr News Agency, citing the Ministry of Oil, Gholam Abbas Hosseini, CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex Company, emphasized the key role of the central workshop and domestic specialists in this year's repair work. He noted that the complex is prepared for maximum and sustainable gas processing for the country's needs in cold months.
Hosseini added that after the completion of repairs at twelve refineries within the complex, six plants have been included in maintenance programs. This work was carried out according to schedule and safety requirements. The South Pars refineries are fully prepared for the sustainable and maximum production of gas required by the country.
He continued that the goal of this year's repairs was to increase operational readiness, maintain equipment reliability, and ensure conditions for continuous gas processing during the cold period. During this process, significant preparation was undertaken for key equipment and strategic plant facilities.
The CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex Company highlighted the importance of domestic capabilities in successfully implementing these programs. He stated that the majority of maintenance work relied on the internal capacities, knowledge, and experience of the complex's specialists, as well as innovative methods. The complex's central workshop played an effective role in supporting repair operations due to its ability to repair, restore, and manufacture parts and equipment.
Hosseini also noted that utilizing internal capacities, in addition to ensuring production continuity, contributed to increasing operational readiness and reducing dependence on foreign resources. The South Pars Complex prioritizes the maximum utilization of the potential of domestic companies, manufacturers, and Iranian specialists.
Addressing the importance of continuous gas production in cold weather, he expressed hope that thanks to the achieved readiness at the complex's plants, a stable and uninterrupted supply of the maximum volume of processed gas will be ensured to the national network during the winter months, benefiting the nation's people.
The CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex Company also stressed the importance of energy consumption management and cooperation between consumers and workers in the gas industry. In addition to the efforts of the gas industry to ensure sustainable energy supply, controlling consumption by citizens and their support for gas sector workers is crucial. It is expected that citizens, especially on cold days, will prioritize adhering to consumption regimes, saving, and optimal use of gas to ensure sustainable use of this national resource for all.
