As part of the tenth session of the unique large-scale eye surgery camp named Operation Drishti, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) doctors performed over 220 vision restoration surgeries.
These procedures were carried out in an underground operating theater located in a shelling-prone area in the Tangdhar, Kupwara region, along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, on Friday and Saturday.
Most of the interventions performed were cataract removal operations, as well as selective retinal procedures and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
